The Foundation aims to facilitate the development of treatments, and consequent necessary technologies, for every sort of disease that may arise in man, at birth or later on in life, from genetic damage. While we are concerned with illness at all stages of life, we particularly prioritize the needs of children.
The Areas We Work In
a: It is evident that most forms of illness, and in particular all forms of cancer, derive from changes in our genes, either natal or which develop later. Methods of treatment in the century before us will be those which descend to the level of the genes in our cells and solve the problems there. We aim to: provide education regarding this new approach to treatment; contribute to the training of researchers; assist in bringing the necessary materials and equipment from abroad; contribute to training and courses in the field by bringing qualified researchers from abroad; commission research in the area of cell treatment and publish the results; train, or to assist in the training, of scientific teams.
b: Our priority is to raise consciousness in scientific circles and the public, to inform the public of methods of cell treatment. To acieve these objectives, we aim to bring all scientists working in the field together through arranging conferences, seminars and courses.
c: To arrange scholarships and bursaries both at home and abroad in the field of cellular and genetic treatment. To provide material and moral support to those who are in a position to benefit from these methods of treatment.
d: To assist patients by co-operating with other Foundations or associations, university faculties and institutions working in related areas. To provide every kind of educational support to children handicapped from birth, and to this end establish centres. To open special educational centres for those children in need of them.
e: To work together in every branch of children's health, a subject of vital importance to our country, with state or charitable organisations working in the field to open centres and undertake non-profit activities with a view to raising healthy new generations.
f: To assist patients and children in need of special treatment for reasons of material need, ignorance, or similar reasons.
g: Through co-operation with industry, to support the development and production of equipment for cellular treatment in this country, and if necessary to facilitate the production itself.
h: To educate the community, medical professionals, patients relations and patients about the diseases which the Foundation is concerned with using all aspects of the media.
j: To co-operate with all other medical practitioners and organisations both inside and outside their own institutions, and using all human resources and equipment, to promote education and training' patient services and genuine research. To open a high level technology institute, provided that appropriate conditions are met.
k: To found and support, in the interests of the whole country, and for the advanced diagnostic investigation and treatment of all patients in our field, modern hospitals, treatment, screening and research centres, together with production centres.
l: To co-operate with, and to provide assistance with human resources and equipment to those organisations and real or legal individuals, particularly those already in the field of medicine who have substantial reputations whether at home or abroad. To organise, and to contribute to the expenses of, joint research projects.
m: To support those doing research in the area, whether from within the Foundation or from outside, and to grant scholarships both at home and abroad.
n: In order to realise and continue its objectives, to establish funds and meet all expenses that cannot be met through these funds through collecting funds from patients who have the ability to make them.
